Detroit Amplified Jazz Experience featuring the legendary Bob James. This event will feature the Bob James trio with special guest saxophonist Andrey Chmut. Join us for an exciting event featuring the one and only Bob James! Get ready to be blown away by his incredible talent and mesmerizing music.This in-person event will take place on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 8 p.m. From his first day in Marshall, Missouri, the music of Bob James has captivated audiences throughout the world. Discovered by Quincy Jones at the Notre Dame Jazz Festival in 1963, James recorded his first solo album, Bold Conceptions, that same year for Mercury Records. More than 60 albums and innumerable awards would follow through the nearly six decades.
