Shoufou Alwawa Wayn

Presented by AJYAL Theatrical Group

Just when we thought that Im Hussein, Im Elias and their families were finally settled into the American way of life and had put all of their troubles behind them, the global economy takes a nose dive.  What to do? If you have been following their comical cultural adjustments to American life, you can anticipate some hilarious situations in "Shoufou Alwawa Wayn" when they face foreclosure and a host of related money problems.  AJYAL Theatrical Group is the first Arab-American theater group in North America, has been in existence since 1988, staging many comedy productions over the years.  Most of AJYAL Theatrical Group' shows poke fun at the everyday lives of Arab-Americans who are desperately trying to blend into the mainstream of American culture.  The plays serve as a forum to help people laugh at their mistakes and mishaps but also to come to terms with social issues facing Arab-Americans.  "Shoufou Alwawa Wayn" is written by Najee Mondalek and directed by Aziz Charabaty.
