Dearborn Symphony Orchestra " For the Love of Beethoven"

The Dearborn Symphony celebrates 250 years of the great Ludwig van Beethoven, a titan whose music opened the flood gates to everything from Romanticism to musical narrative, self-reflection and the complexities of the human spirit. His "Egmont Overture," one of the music's most dramatic overtures, raises the curtain on a program featuring favorite movements from symphonies No. 5 and 7. Symphony concertmaster, Debra Terry, will perform Beethoven's tender but dramatic Romance for Violin and Orchestra No. 2. The program climaxes with the Dearborn Youth Symphony in a side-by-side performance of Tchaikovsky's March Slave, reminiscent of the more famous 1812 Overture. Reserved Seating. Ticket prices are $35, $30, $25 and $15 (service fees will apply). Order online or call or visit the Theater Box Office at 313 943 2354. Box Office hours are Thursday, Friday and Saturday from Noon to 7:00pm.
